There is a myth about the creation of love. It first begins with the creation of humans by the gods. In the beginning there were three sexes. Man, Woman and Man-Woman. Men were of the Sun, Man-Women were of the Moon and Women were of the Earth. Humans originally had two faces, four arms and four legs. They were very powerful and caused turmoil among the living creatures of the Earth, Moon and Sun. Zeus as punishment for this turmoil splits them in half creating the humans we have today. When the human’s bodies were split, so were their souls. Each half of the soul longed for each other.
That longing is what we call Love.
On the island of Hilton Head this myth is not a myth at all. The souls of the first humans have been reincarnated for centuries.
The Reason? They are only half souls.
Half souls are not allowed to enter the Underworld and receive their judgment.
Some of these half-souls have found their missing piece and have come together reaching the Underworld. The others have slowly, but surely, migrated to this tiny little island in search of their missing piece.
Their true love.
