In the not-too-distant future - years after Jack Bauer, his daughter, Chloe O'Brien and President Taylor - yet
another looming terrorist attack threatens to overturn law and order in America. The new President of the United
States, Robert Blythe, has just received information from CTU, the Counter Terrorist Unit, saying that America
will be attacked within the next week by at least one of the terrorist groups residing in the Middle East. The
information, though, is at best a rough translation of a conversation overheard by an American spy in order to
gather more intelligence on said terrorist groups. Nothing is official yet, but of course the government is taking
all the measures possible to ensure that this threat does not come to fruition. One such measure is the use of
a key agent within CTU: Benjamin Carter. Ben, like the famous (and sometimes infamous) Jack Bauer, is the
best agent CTU has, and is quite skilled at obtaining information from people in order to prevent terrible things from
happening. He has been assigned to this case in hopes of thwarting the terrorists and stopping the attack from
ever happening.
So what does this mean for the American people?
For the general public, nothing is wrong. There have been whispers and rumors of an attack on American soil,
but they have only spread as far as the families and friends of government officials, and even they aren't sure as
to what is really going on. For the most part, they are blissfully ignorant of the terror that is enveloping the White
House and CTU.
The perpetrator of this terrorist attack? Rahim Harandi, an Islamic extremist who is actually in cohorts with several
right-wing American politicians who want to push the President into declaring war against the Middle East nations.
Harandi opposes the negotiations between America and his country, and his belief is that America is a poison that
needs to be eradicated, no matter the cost. He does not know, however, the politicians' true intentions for the
bombing on American soil; he simply believes that they feel the same way about their country as he does. Harandi
also is suspicious of some of the people who associate themselves with him, and is trusting others less and less,
fearing the possibility of those around him turning against him. He is right to do so, since the Americans working
with him plan to kill him as soon as the attack happens - covering their tracks is essential, lest they be persecuted
for treason.
The media is concerned about the happenings in the White House, and President Blythe is doing all he can to
not let the situation escalate into full-blown chaos. He is keeping the reporters satisfied for now, but if this
attack happens, there isn't anything he can do to stop the nation from imploding - and there won't be much
choice in the matter of declaring war against the Islamic nations.
In a world filled with distrust, violence, and secret dealings, only you can choose what you want to believe.
Can you find the truth amidst the Lies and Slander?
